Alpheus provides strategic direction on T-mobile’s core mobile technology platforms

T-Mobile’s data services division had developed a number of software components and systems including a customised data services portal platform. They came to Alpheus to help them determine whether or not it they should invest further in it or use deploy the resources elsewhere.
This is what we did...

Project Goal / Vision
T-Mobile asked Alpheus to answer the following questions
·         Could other business units make use of these components?
·         Could some of the software be packaged and sold?
·         If so would it be strategically and financial worthwhile to build a new corporate platform to share this technology?
Services Delivered
Alpheus ran and resourced  this feasibility project. We began by producing product documentation for each of their software systems. We interviewed staff and managers at the other business units and drew up and reviewed their business requirements and carried out a GAP analysis.
Client Benefits Realised
Our conclusion was that while there were some synergies between requirements and the systems available they weren’t strong enough to justify the expense in developing a new corporate software platform for them. Alpheus’s recommendations were adopted by T-Mobile and the research and systems documentation we had produced also proved a valuable on going resources for them helping to define and develop future projects.
